Why the lack of outrage?

In the news today, and abandoned mother cat and her kittens were found in the woods, authorities seek information.
Follow up information found, County prosecutor considering charges.
This hypothetical situation happens every day, thousands of people jump on social media, begin donating money.
The comment section includes people saying things like, that person should die, that person should be locked up for life.
Well I love cats. I'm just seeing a bit of unbalance, in this situation.
Where is the outrage, when a little child is harmed by an animal? The whole thing is a bit one-sided, we are outraged when a animal is found injured, found starving, but there is no outrage when a child is attacked by an animal.
Excuses are made for the animal.
The child is blamed.
Years ago, I had a cat, I looked forward to the day she would deliver her kittens. I made a nice place for her in the shed, where other animals could not harm her, she would have food and water, & a litter box.
When the day came that my cat was to deliver, she disappeared. I looked, and looked, & I looked some more, for days I looked.
I kept placing food for she could find it. After a number of weeks my cat, came back, but what if someone would have found her where she was hiding?
Would I be one of those people, should I die, be locked up for life? cats often do this, it is the nature of the cat.
Dogs that are allowed to run loose often cause trouble, and at times get into a situation, where they are injured, or shot.
Perhaps they were harassing someone's livestock.
But when they are found there's no mistaking somebody needs to die.
This is not the case when the child is attacked by a dog, its always the child's fault, or the parents weren't watching close enough. Certainly the blame falls on the owner of the dog, but it was the dog, that had the desire to attack the child.
Things have just got seriously out of balance.
There are some seriously twisted individuals out there, who will harm an animal, those same people will probably harm a child.
We need to be just as outraged about the child being harmed, in either incidence.
We need to protect our furry, feathered friends, but not at the expense of a child's life.
Not every dog found laying in a ditch, with a gunshot wound, has been abused, perhaps that dog was harassing someones animals.
Not every mother cat that crawls off into the woods, to have her kittens, has been abandoned by the owner.
Children on the other hand, do not have a choice.
They don't have a choice about the type of pet, a family owns, they don't have a choice about what kind of pet the neighbor owns.
Pet owners need to be accountable.
But at some point you have to realize this animal made a choice, the cat decided not to have her kittens in the shed.
The dog decided to shred the child or someone else's pet.
Was it trained to do it?
Does it really matter, it happened.
The fact that it happened, is reason enough to say this animal will repeat this action.
Back to my cat.
The following spring my cat became pregnant again, this was 25 years ago.
Again a place was provided for her to have her kittens, again she found another place of her choosing. was I am abusing her. You decide.

What about all the others?

All over the country, pets and livestock are being attacked by pit bulls, devastating horrific attacks, these attacks often not reimbursed by the pit owner.
the financial responsibility falls squarely, on the shoulders of the person who has experienced the attack.
However, when a devastating attack by a pit bull occurs to a pit bull, bring out the violins it's crying time again.
These so called animal advocates, do not seem to care when a poodle gets attacked, they don't seem to care when a horse has both of its ears ripped off and part of it nose.
But let a pit bull attack another pit bull, and bring out the barbecue, and the band.

Save Frankie, another lion tamer, has placed two pit bulls together, the result an attack that resulted in near death.
Why? Because pit bulls fight.
But this experience lion tamer, figured it would be OK, because hey I've got it all under control.
Well obviously not. so now everybody run to your wallets, and save Frankie.
Some people who read this will probably actually do that.
But not a dollar can be spent helping with the hospital bills, for a child or a poodle.
I get told all the time just come and meet my pit bull, it will change your mind, it will lick you to death.
Death that's exactly what I'm worried about.
This is why I don't have a pit bull, I have seen what they're capable of.
This obstinate denial, about the true heritage of a pit bull. Does no favors to anyone, least of all the pit bull, who is truly just following its own genetic instincts.
One quick question before I go, can anybody help me teach my pug how to pit fight, I hear so much about how these animals, have to be trained to fight, and how all dogs are the same, so I'm thinking I've got a rather tough little pug here, maybe he could fare well in the fighting ring?
Sounds reasonable to me.

Our pets matter too.

Somebody call the waaaaabulance...... waaa waaa waaa

Okay
I posted an opinion, who doesn't right? You really don't have to agree with me, I understand.
So why blog about it? I mean really?
So Pit Bulls are in the news every day, this is a fact.
I have an opinion, so do you, or maybe you are not aware there is a problem.
I mean we have so many other problems, right???
Well I'm sorry, but when I hear about a baby, getting it's legs ripped off it bothers me.
When I hear that a shelter adopts out a dog, and 2 weeks later, someone dies, it bothers me.
I have even cried, Yes Cried.... sobbed like a little baby.
So for some strange reason I want to see a change???? Go figure??
I take a look at the statistics, which are increasing at an alarming rate, and I just think no way!
So I speak up, I have my opinion...
I don't care if you agree, or disagree, I am still going to have my opinion.
I might mention, this opinion is mine, I have not been influenced by anyone else.
I have noticed that there are those that believe that, I am part of a cult, okay go right ahead, if that somehow changes the message contained, in my opinion please feel free to think that way.
So I share this link so that you will have the pleasure, of laughing as hard as I did.

The magical transformation

So you've been all over the Internet, posting pictures of your beloved pet.
Which just happens to be a pit bull. Until one day, your pet attacks. That's when the magical transformation occurs, magical from the land of unicorns, and rainbows, your dog has now become a boxer mix.
Why?? Well I would like to call it social pressure, you're no longer in with the crowd.
Because now you have become an animal abuser. But only if your dog is a pit bull,
If it's a boxer mix. This just serves to prove all pit bulls are not bad, and other breeds attack too  It is the breed mis-identification argument. A dog that everyone calls a pit bull, magically transforms into another breed.
Totally vindicating the pit bull breed. As well as the irresponsible owner.
You are no longer, on the bad owner list.
You have now served an important function, it's not the breed, it's misidentified. At this particular point in history, even a toddler can identify a pit bull.
I much the same way, one can rent an apartment, get insurance, and a host of other things become available.
So what about the risky fighting breed dog, you have exposed everyone to?? Well it wouldn't hurt a fly.
Or will it????
